Only You
As the snowflakes fall so slowly to the ground
There is such a degree of whiteness and coolness all around
But inside me there is such warmth that is so often there
This feeling just overwhelms me, only when you are near
Shoppers as around this time, hustling and bustling around
Talking and showing each other their purchases and where the bargain can be found
But there is no bargain no purchase no matter the price can compare
To this one so invaluable, that's you so precious so special my dear.
From the window one can see those lights so brightly sparkle
And in the midst of that snowflake, on can see a star twinkle
But there is a light that in comparison is radiantly bright
That beam emitted by your eyes is such a wonderful sight.
Amid all the noise, in the square there is the clock making its chime
On can hear as each beat counted tell the current time
But nothing around can ever matched that rhythmic beat
Portray but those that made by those elegant steps of your feet
There is a crowd gather quickly, to hear the lovely singing
Of those many Christmas carols the choir will be rendering
But for my music, there is for me no other choice
I truly enjoyed that when it comes from your melodious voice.
Amid all the preparation reflected by the hype of the season
The aura, and as far as the eyes see, those many decoration
They most certainly can be considered a mere background
To complement your beauty, as its upfront is where you belong
Look at that lady happily purchasing her special one a present
On can see that when he receives it, he will be very jubilant
But for me there will be no wish, no time for any expensive gift
Only you can be that special to give my spirits any sort of lift.
At Christmas day yes, there will be people around all those trees
Unwrapping presents, laughing in an atmosphere so very cheerily
But there is one thing that always makes my Christmas much happier
It's that smile, your patience, sharing and caring those thought make me quiver.
