Billy wasn't stupid even though he worked on a farm
And as it was his old boss kept him busy all the time
He hardly ever got a day off and always another job
And a million of them to always come down the line
Today it was raining so heavy and Billy he decided
So early Billy off to that old hay shed down the back
As fast as he could scramble and with a blanket in hand
A few supplies in a bag Billy headed down that track
The boss not at all dressed for any work looking for him
And with his wife's old umbrella shouting loud as can be
And here was Billy buried in between warm bales of hay
All wrapped up in a blanket and supplies there with glee
BILLY WHERE THE LIVING HELL ARE YOU was the loudest sound
And not a single chance was there ever in return to thee
Rain simply pouring heavy down on the old hay shed roof
Billy snoozing the day away and now in dreamland was he
Not a single chance in any way Billy was having a day off
Billy hearing this noise thinking do it yourself or go home
Billy wasn't stupid he's not on the planet at all today
All cozy and wrapped up sleeping in hay shed dry as a bone .
