The old sheep farmer he'd walked out the front early
And he then heard the most ever woeful sound
Seems there was movement on the sheep station
And it seemed that the word had passed around
In all his life he'd seen nothing like this
Never ever heard of nothing like this before
And he just stood there in total disbelief
As he pushed his hat back some and then he swore
Seems over night the breeding Rams got together
And in doing so they all got this latest hunch
They had made a unanimous decision on the day
And called themselves the wild and woolly bunch
Seems all all the Rams had formed a union as such
As to get some better conditions on the ground
All for one and one for all they cried out loud
Was the then screaming and the loudest ever sound
A spokes Ram it stood right up the front there
And they all thought this was a real good then idea
Thinking the Ewes were not as friendly as once was
And as they thought a few of them of late were queer
It came to be with the Rams to a some what degree
That they wanted more from the station Ewes its true
And so the Rams decided to put on a biggest protest
As they were wanting way so much more from the Ewe
It came to be soon you see the Rams they went on strike
Not long after the Ewes decided then to all go on the pill
And with this all happening he almost had a heart attack
And sat worried in his office with his whiskey there to swill
Things the boss thought were really getting hard to handle
And he just walked around so worried thinking what the hell
And he hoped with all this that his wife didnt hear about it all
As if she did she might join up with the station Ewes as well
It was a little later that then shearing time it came around
And that appeared to cut this union thing down just a bit
But it wasnt long and all was back again to being ever strong
Rams on strike and Ewes on the pill enough to make one spit
Here were Rams protesting as ever before of rights and such
And the Ewes were now all on the pill they never had a care
And the boss was almost beside of himself for now it seemed
There was not any new lambs to be seen almost anywhere
Then one day the word it passed around again but this time
That the boss not knowing what to do that he was going to sell
As with no lambs being born , Rams on strike , Ewes on the pill
And that in the cities mutton and lamb prices were up like hell
Next thing the boss walked out front of his house and there
Were Rams and Ewes all pleading ever so now at his front door
And lambs were simply dropping all around the entire place
Seemed over night everything was right back in place as before
Then the boss stood out the front of his homestead yelling
Telling the Rams and sheep how he'd almost had a heart attack
And thats when the bosses wife shook him ever hardly yelling
