HUMILITY

I don't mind being wrong
If wrong is right
Don't mind admitting failures
If it means improvement
Don't mind loving an enemy
If it well make them a friend
For in the end
Humility can be a virtue
Of course everyone knows I am right
And the whole bunch of you are wrong
Levity is the key to understanding
Gotta hide the Petticoat Dictator
is coming and she thinks she is right
It is just consistently told I am wrong
I think she might be going to speak to me again
Wrong or right it is who holds out the longest
"OK, DEAR how high?"
Knowing who is in control sometimes helps
A person who thinks he is right learn humility

Every year I write a anniversary poem for the Petticoat
Dictator. This one explains why we lasted 50 years
Bye now--have to put some steak on this eye.
