Vastest fields of heather blowing within winds
Flowing slowly together as the breezes sigh
As if an ocean of the greenery and the golden
All under the spring time lightest bluest sky
Tallest the heather was within the vastest field
As the land it all seemed as if a greenest sea
The light golden seeds across the tops of it all
Attracting the harmless and many of wild field bee
Oh how we would then play within this ocean green
Oh how we'd run so through same as if to fly
And often we'd lay deeply within it all there too
While watching highest clouds move up in the sky
As well our dogs would chase us as they too wished
To then join our very greenest ocean vast field game
And how we would run so fast as to escape so away
Having them try then to find us there as if wild game
Oh how us children we would love and enjoy this field
And how we then played many an imagined games back then
Running so fast and playing as we all once would do
When we were only just children once away back when.
