I still dream dreams of the young,

I still dream dreams of the young,

I still dream dreams of the young,

In the sitting sun,

When I can no longer run,

It seems like

So many things are left undone,

And I still dream the dreams of the young,

I still have dreams from my youth,

And if they are unattainable,

Don't tell me the truth,

I have wished on every star above,

And waited my while life for love,

That wish has yet to come true,

Don't you know that even the old,

Get cold and lonely and blue,

And still dream the dreams of their youth,

I m just an old flower-child,

Once I ran in the fields wild,

But now that old sun has gone down too soon,

Love let me down.

As I stand alone under that big moon,

Having searched my whole life for love's proof,

I still dream dreams from my youth
