A PERFECT THANKSGIVINGTwo weeks ago Grandma 91 Was in the emergency room The family gathered Thanksgiving Grandma uses a walker Thank you for the recovery Ryan made the turkey Stuffing and all Ryan is twelve Entertained on the Piano with Christmas music and magic Brent all day peeled potatoes Both white and sweet Melted Marshmallows on top Stacy made the cranberries Not from a can two versions Sugared and non sugared home made Kelsey is home from college She made the cookies and special custard A desert of heaven especially topped Mom brought her special salads Danny made his Punkin soup The punkin hand carved and home made I brought and appetite OK, I did some dishes We circled hands and Danny prayed, "Thanking Jesus who provided the food" For a perfect Thanksgiving dinner Praise our military who provided The freedom to worship as we please In a world that is no longer perfect Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
