A PERFECT THANKSGIVING

Two weeks ago Grandma 91
Was in the emergency room
The family gathered
Thanksgiving Grandma uses a walker
Thank you for the recovery
Ryan made the turkey
Stuffing and all
Ryan is twelve
Entertained on the Piano
with Christmas music and magic
Brent all day peeled potatoes
Both white and sweet
Melted Marshmallows on top
Stacy made the cranberries
Not from a can two versions
Sugared and non sugared home made
Kelsey is home from college
She made the cookies and special custard
A desert of heaven especially topped
Mom brought her special salads
Danny made his Punkin soup
The punkin hand carved and home made
I brought and appetite
OK, I did some dishes
We circled hands and Danny prayed,
"Thanking Jesus who provided the food"
For a perfect Thanksgiving dinner
Praise our military who provided
The freedom to worship as we please
In a world that is no longer perfect
