a pair of lips to kiss
after a Saturday night dance
for the bold and brave
maybe just the chance
of a pair of breasts to fondle
through the fabric of a dress
a hand on a back to
stroke and caress

a little heavy breathing
a surging of desire
that seemed to rise
to set a body on fire
the onset of decorum
as bodies pulled apart

a pair of hands held
a walk to a door
maybe a final kiss
never anymore
the long walk home
thinking of the bliss
