She has only recently felt her beauty,
Her wings flutter slightly,
attracted to the distant flower,
The sun glistens ,The skies are so blue,
beaconing her to try her new found wings.
She spreads her wings for her maiden flight,
A tear is in my eye,
Wondering if she will take with her all
I have taught her,
As I watch her rising toward the sky,
My daughter,
The butterfly.
