If many people today were asked this question
What would they like to see happen this Christmas season
This response will be given without a moment's hesitation
That is they will like to see the end to this recession.
Let's face it that put the world in this type of predicament
Perhaps it may not be due mainly to the policies of the government
Or the promised made by the incumbent, trying to capture the attention
By saying, when elected they would make each day like Christmas season
Then as people not concerned about the nation's economic plight
Would certainly interpret that saying as signal that is right
To throw caution to the wind and embark on such spending spree
As all indications are that everything spells financial security
S0 people as we so quickly are approaching this Christmas season
And our sides are being dug deeply by the spurs of the recession
Embark on a system that will depict some form of prudence
Educate the children so that they will know the difference
Use this moment to go out and pay some personal visit
This may to both of you bring some heartwarming benefits
