A CHILD TO THE HARD LIFE?
If he is taught to love,
He will love
And become lovely.
If he´s hated,
He will hate
Till he´s being hated.
If he´s left without a friend,
He will fend for one - himself,
And will do what
His imagination inspires.
If heś taught to take
Everyone as his mate, without respect,
He will have regard
For nobody.
If he´s left without a father´s care,
Or a mother´s check,
He will find his place among his peers.
If he´s a father´s pet
Or a mother´s best,
He will other children hate -
You caused the enmity in your heirs.
If he´s left to say anything
On anyone without caution,
He will susspect
And expect to suspect.
If he is sent
And not meant to remit change,
You will fill his hands with dollars,
And he will be a thief, brother.
If heś not sent to school,
He will be a fool
And will cause his parents
Shame.
How to train a child
Is with care,
But let him pray,
And learn to say ¨Amen¨
When he´s in distress.
How to train a child
Is to let him wait;
No going away,
And let him always say
¨Determination is my best friend¨.
If parents these heed take;
If they these warnings heed,
They will never regret,
But will have in heaven, gems.
