Today brings chance to see one through
Another day yes up to you
Hand extend to lift a soul
Someone that needs someone to hold
A cup of Joe, for one whose cold
A piece of you, to young and old
The lost not found that call to you
As you pass by ignoring too
Your fellow man who fell to times
Hard, unheard standing on the food line
They too need more than helping hands
A word spoken to save the damned
Your part, your being, refuge of hope
Your time at hand will lasso rope
Thrown with cause beyond all thoughts
One had for them, maybe yours sought
The Earth needs you to spread your wings
To bring forth Gods, mans earthly blessing
To feed a cause beyond your pa let
To clothe, nourish as Christ would have it
Look around when you step out
Look real close and see about
The needs of many out weigh the few
The throngs that cry, cry out to you
A stay, alone in room there lays
A child, mother or man thats aged
Without visits from those they knew
Another chance to be held unto
Christmas comes and no real tree
Will sit or stand as strong as thee
Beside those who use to know
Someone who loved and tells them so
