As I hear the pain of voices
Living wills of near dying
Three times I thought of death
Twice I floated to heaven and back
Life more precious than death
Yet the time is not my choosing
Great Lakes Naval Base
Death sat sadly on my shoulder
"Welcome back the Nurse to the living."
Asian flu of 1958 in the death ward
"You owe that lady your life."
One nurse stayed day and night
Why I was so special I do not know
I believe in Angels she brought me back from death
The two friends with me took the journey
and did not come back from the death ward
"You have three to five years to live."
I fooled that Doctor--I was nineteen then
At thirty six I died and entered heavens tunnel
"No No I am not ready to go!" Angels brought me back
The voices of death have been around me
Life is a precious gift
This came from reading my high school memorium
111 of the 543 in my class have moved on
I thank you Lord for every day given
