Letter to Mrs. Claus
In writing you I hope to find
That you are well and all is fine
Though I wonder how one deals
With all those Elves waiting on meals
Your stove non stop and ovens heat
Must wear on you upon your feet
Hundreds I'm sure keep you awake
As hammers hit on gifts partake
The buzz of saws that cookie cut
The many trains that toot somewhat
Dolls that cry when pressed are tummies
The Teddy bears not made as Gummies
Both made to keep one company
To grandmas house not one but many
The PS3'S and XBOX too
The testing site for games walk through
Become chorus of many toys
For child who dreams both girl and boys
Barbie Dolls that make the many
Now all grown up collection plenty
Like yesterday they still appeal
To those who had, moment theirs steal
The gift wrapping and tinsel bows
Of Rudolph with his glowing nose
Standing by to dine as well
Hand fed by you favorite you'd tell
Santa's attire you help too keep
One size too small this year seems sleep
Becomes the latter upon your plate
As Christmas draws nearer to date
Who leaves you milk and cookies too?
When Santa's off and heads off to
The homes away from home you keep
With fireplace aglow with heat
This letter mine written with love
To say thank you for thinking of
All who labor that can't afford
To be without you Mrs. Claus
I've purchased a ticket for you
One for Santa to travel too
A long awaited trip to rest
When all is over, deserved no less
and though I did not write to Him
Know this I'm sure we'd all be in
A toy less Christmas for young and old
If you took leave, truth would be told
Merry Christmas Mrs. Claus, and to you a good night!
