Do I remember Ronnie?
Football, baseball golf
We played them all
314 yard hole in one
That boy could hit a ball
Spiral pass he did it all
No one more deserving
We shared Ron's dream
Larry and I
All were going to the Hall of Fame
One day there was a knock on the door
There stood Ronny and Larry
"Come on, lets go play catch."
Guys it is pouring rain?"
"It's covered at the tennis court.
The balls won't go far--batting practice."
The day my dream ended.
Kids don't throw curves with a tennis ball.
Larry was leading the league
Ron and Larry one two in state.
When the curve came Larry couldn't get away.
A curve ball and he dived away.
So Ronny lived all our dreams.
No one more deserving
Playing baseball in the rain--snow
A man amongst boys you know
Three boys playing "Home run!"
Ronny hit it a ton.
