Poetic-Verses
'' We Wield The Power ''
It's the '' common '' people who contribute the most,
That is a sad fact of life,
In this sick world we're the rich persons host,
Yet it's us who suffer most strife.
Slavery is dead they'd have us believe,
Fact is it's still there in our face,
While we do their bidding it's ourselves we deceive,
They're the dregs of the human race.
Without us there'd be no billionaires,
That's a fact they tend to forget,
When they think of us they'll say, ' who cares ',
Deriding us they will live to regret.
We sit back and let them do what they want,
It's now time to ask ourselves why,
While we are suffering it's our riches they flaunt,
It's enough to make a grown man cry.
It's we, who rule them not the other way round,
Yet they tell us we don't have a say,
Without us their lives would run aground,
Without us they would have no pay.
We must all stand up and be counted,
It's now time to take them to task,
Our problems can and will be surmounted,
Why do we suffer is what we must ask.
Utility bills are now out of control,
The same applies to our fuel,
The rich don't care that we're in a hole,
Capitalism is both evil and cruel.
They love to pit us against one another,
That way they are all left alone,
Our opinions on life they try to smother.
For they all have hearts of stone.
Every winter senior citizens die,
People who've toiled all their days,
Scared to stay warm is a right we deny,
Who said honesty pays.
World politicians do not have a clue,
In debt our countries are enshrined,
They all walk away rich while their debts we accrue,
An honest one is impossible to find.
The rich get richer while we remain poor,
That's our fault if truth be told,
In our own hands we have the cure,
Our dignity we must all uphold.
Bankers, big business and politicians,
It's on us they all depend,
Let us together set out on our mission,
Our rights we must now defend.
They steal our money while we just sit back,
It's time to say, not any more,
Their greed and corruption we must all attack,
Let them know it's them we deplore.
They'll continue robbing us unless we act,
Let's remove them from their ivory tower,
The '' commoner '' is king that is a fact,
Let's do it,
' We Wield The Power '
