BULLIES

Bullies are cowards.
Enjoying having hapless victims cowering in shame.
It feeds the bully's insecure ego.
In life  they are hangers on.
Afraid  to be  different.

Not to be one of the crowd.
They surround each other with
their less than sanguine humour.
Their victims benign stance will
never resolve the problem.
Bullies need to be in a crowd.
Their victim may be cowered.

But will never feel that
insecure need to belong in a mob.
The day of reckoning the bullies fears most
is when he stands alone.
All vestige of power would be stripped from him.

And the one he fears most is himself.
The moment he never reckoned with,
being alone, has arrived..
He is now the hapless victim of his own cowardice,
lost, denied fellowship. never will he
recapture dignity as he stripped it from himself.
