Broken is beautiful.
My mother taught me that when I
Dropped my crystal pyramid
And I was shattered…
She looked at it and showed me
How it was a kaleidoscope…
She told me, it gave it “Character.”
I thought it was clique...
But at the same time my heart didn't
Hurt so much when I thought of it
That way.
I have been dropped and cracked like
My crystal more times than I can count
The kaleidoscope you can see now
Through me is only beautiful
Because I have been
Broken, over
And over
But…
The beauty doesn't
Come in what
Broke me… it
Always comes from
What my mother taught
Me…
The beauty comes from
How I chose to
See it.
