 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

Something to remember...

SOMETHING TO REMEMBER…

There's green fungi wrapped inside a red bow
suspended in the middle of an arch
that holds up my ceiling
from which I reside

My little humble home
and that would be Mistletoe
that jolly green stuff
you steal a kiss under

An empty stocking slumps

Charlie Brown your a pal
thank you for lending me
your Christmas tree!
I will give it LOVE

Holly berry bushes have sprung
their little bundles of poison decor
and I daydream of the north pole
where this red cheeked man lives

Thank you Santa!
For my:
"Candy apple red tricycle"
when I was 5

The essence of cinnamon sticks
and a slight hint of sugar cookies
ride upon the morning atmosphere
teasing my childhood pleasures

...and I sit here thinking
where will all these leaves go?
I cannot see the streets
for this fallen season

Right around the corner

Just today Jack Frost
left his calling card
by leaving dew drop marbles
glazed with an icy reflective theme

Rest assure
winter has peeked her head
and touched my nose
with her glazier finger

I shall quiet now
knowing my wealth inside
bundled in my cozy blanket
stubborn and graceful

I watch the last few
warming embers smolder

Glassy eyed...

Where others have moved on
...not I
