What a fool i've been
when the slaughter i'm going thru,
i'm always taken in
i've been beaten black and blue.
I'd like to say
i've been scared to death my friend,
but there's just no way
for this beating has no end.

i need held in your arms,
why are you so far above
when here below there's so much that harms?
I was raped in a dream
terrified of being alone here,
it's become part of a scheme
for my dignity to disappear.
I'm sorry to be so graphic
and spill my guts so vividly,
but i'm so worn out and weak
trying to hang on to being set free.
That dream a nightmare
it scared me so,
and i just can't bear
that this cruel world won't let me go.
I just want to lay down and die
and be delivered from all of it,
but no matter how much i cry
i'm taken deeper in the pit.
