Exchange Student Dies: Unknown Cause

Tragedy struck, over the weekend, when a foreign exchange student from China, had went to the local Aquatic Center, and got hurt. He was rushed to the hospital, with life threatening injuries. The update on the teenager, was critical. Nobody knows exactly what had happened. The Life Guards are being asked questions and the surveillance tapes are going to be watched, to find out what went on. Rumors are flying around. Some claim, he was roughhousing with another student, on the high tower and the teenager slipped and fell into the pool below. Other rumours are, he fell off of the high tower and got his foot caught around the rope at the bottom of the pool and he had drowned. Another rumour is, he dove off of the high tower, head first and hit his head off of the bottom of the pool. There are so many questions, that need, yet, to be answered.

Being the only child, the exchange student from China wanted to come to Canada, to get better grades in school. All of the students from one of the local high schools here in the city, started on September.6/2011. The exchange student was being shown around the school, just last week. He claimed he loved being here in Canada. His parents must have been so proud of him, because he wanted to venture out into a country he did not know, to further his education and to improve on his English.

Late Tuesday afternoon, September.20/2011, the teenager had passed away, in the hospital, from an "unknown cause," local authorities say.

On September.21/2011, The High School the exchange student was supposed to attend, held a minute and a half moment of silence.

His parents were supposed to come to the city to visit their teenager in the hospital. They wanted to arrive with the best intentions of getting some good news on their son, but they are arriving to receive bad news and to take their son home, back to China. The teenager's parents are to arrive here in the city today September.22/2011.

The High School is taking donations from local students to plant a tree and place a plaque in front of it, in honour of Chao Wang. The exchange student from China.

A sad article about how a teenager wanted to further his education, speak better English and have fun doing it, but died on his first week here.

My heart goes out the young teenager's parents.
