TRICK OR TREAT

TRICK OR TREAT?

What is this tool
They say so powerful;
With it they cheat, they steal,
They even- kill.

Man's gun,
For real or for fun?
One click seems a feat,
Is this trick or treat?

A horror ride to oblivion,
Or a trip to a labyrinth or a dungeon?
Where fear's the flare,
Guilt's the glare.

Trick or treat,
Time ticks, heart beats;
‘till he burns out,
His life… totally black out.

Oh man's folly …
Is this his leap to insanity?
His only gear is uncertainty.
His self, his worst enemy.

This is to address the alarming increase in the rate of homicide cases and other crimes related to private guns. It's horrible to hear a man shooting his own wife and children, or his own best friend, his neighbor or even worst, himself. To gun owners, may they realize that guns are not toys because pulling the trigger always makes the difference.

*************************************************************************
    "Homicide rates tend to be related to firearm ownership levels. Everything else being equal, a reduction in the percentage of households owning firearms should occasion a drop in the homicide rate".

    Evidence to the Cullen Inquiry 1996: Thomas Gabor, Professor of Criminology - University of Ottawa

    "The level of gun ownership world-wide is directly related to murder and suicide rates and specifically to the level of death by gunfire."
