His Work
Once you were alienated,
From God you were separated;
With a hostile attitude,
That you were showing in your mood.
You had some thoughts of evil things,
Many works that the darkness clings;
And with enemies on your mind,
That was causing you to be blind.
But now Jesus has brought you back,
Giving you faith that you did lack;
Which has given you a new goal,
That is involving your own soul.
He did this so that you would learn,
Sometime real soon of His return;
And done so His Word does proclaim,
His presence without sin or blame.
If so be that you continue,
In faith with Jesus in your view;
Keeping a solid foundation,
And not to lose your salvation.
Because the hope of the Good News,
While the message continues;
To be spread throughout all the earth,
So more will experience rebirth.
I work hard while I struggle,
With all the toil and trouble;
But know it is worth the effort,
The death of many I avert.
