 His Own Creation

When you're talking, must your eyes look down to see the others there?
When you're walking, does it occur to you that others use the pathway?
Be careful of lesser beings as you promenade along the thoroughfare.
Surely someone can convince you that you did not invent the day....

How does it feel to breathe such rarefied air, head in the clouds?
Hope you don't choke on your set of 'special' words for those below.
I saw you once toss a few coins to the kids in the unwashed crowd.
That was the most magnanimous gesture I had ever seen you show....

Poor fellow! His head in the clouds of a castle of his own making.
Possessing all knowledge, thinking he's read every book upon the shelf
I hope he never stumbles. He may fall upon someone he is forsaking.
Maybe he IS superior, but he shouldn't make that decision for himself.

Is he a creature of his own design, or did others make him as he is?
He's not a banker, only a banker's son, thinking he's high above us all.
Strange! I feel sorry for him when all he wants already seems to be his.
If he ever finds out he is only human, he has such a long way to fall....
