The Work of the Lord
May be you just outright reject,
As far as what I have to say;
Not politically correct,
With going along my pathway.
For I am committing no crime,
On what I am trying to do;
And I am not wasting my time,
I know that the Gospel is true.
As you know times are getting tough,
Insulting treatment from each side;
Going through suffering is rough,
When with the Lord as I abide.
But God did give me the courage,
With telling you of the Good News;
Despite those that will discourage,
As they ridicule to confuse.
I do not use misguided schemes,
No misconduct or deception;
Rather building faith to your dreams,
Through the promise of salvation.
I spread the Good News for the trust.
Since God knows I will do my best;
Because He is fair and is just,
I was able to pass His test.
I do not try to please people.
It is God, who I want to please;
My motive to spread the Gospel,
And exactly as it decrees.
