Spreading the News

I am a man to spread the news,
Not commentary or my views;
As the prophets say in the Word,
That most of you already heard.

But still so many are out there,
That the Good News we need to share;
The news about God and His Son,
With everything has been done.

Because our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who on the cross was sacrificed;
And God according to His plan,
Through Mary His Son was made man.

Descendant of David as king,
Jesus walked among us to bring;
The message of hope for to share,
In the midst of hurts and despair.

He was declared the Son of God,
But many viewed Him as a fraud;
That so many could not believe,
Talk of salvation to receive.

But shown in a powerful way,
On that one glorious spring day;
When Jesus did come back to life,
To overcome death and the strife.

So I continue to proclaim,
Giving the honor to His name;
Spreading to every nation,
With the joy of His salvation.
