Christmas down underGreetings of Christmas cheer arrive each day, Images of holly, snow and reindeer, Sleighs crossing snow and a dark winter sky, Children and snowmen wrapped against the chill, Snow flakes flutter painting trees with sparkle, Log fires spread a glow over feasting friends. Down under we share the celebration, As bronzed gum leaves twirl on summer breeze, Silver sand drifts across summers surf and beach, Skateboards and scooters flash in racing mode, No holly berries , but juicy strawb'ries, Barbeque aromas lead to festive spread. Families and friends gather for Christmas, Time out recognising our firm foundation, Christ has come – in Bethlehem's manger born, God's mercy heralded by angel chorus, ‘Joy to the world, peace is at hand,' We respond Hallelujah – Praise heaven's God.
