HAVE A DANDY CHRISTMASI have a roof over my head I know some do not Little shaky right now Power has gone out twice The wind finally dying down Hopefully the microwave well work At least until the guest leave Turkey, ham and trimmings growing cold But you know I am blessed Family dodging in and out of fallen trees Life sometimes puts you to your knees Now I well go out and gather the nativity from the neighbors yard Bring from up the street at least one trash can Some would be blessed with cold food No presents this year My present was my Grandson saying grace May you all have a Dandy Christmas and hopes for the New Year The wind is dying and lights back on Remember those not as blessed as I Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
