The Spirit of LoveContinue to love each other, The same as sister and brother; And through spirituality, Always show your hospitality. Even if you just might not know, Strangers traveling to and fro; Greeting believers and to share Showing to them that you do care. You might not see it with your eyes, But it could be angels in disguise; Were sent by God for testing you, For seeing just what you would do. Remember those held in the jail, Give them the faith where theirs fail; From the agony that prolongs, And confess for all of their wrongs. The ones who have been mistreated, Comfort where they are seated; Talk to them about the abuse, Soothe that suffering will reduce. Honor marriage every way, So that your spouse will never stray; To each other be faithful always, So the other never betrays. The Lord is your help and your shield, He can make all temptations yield; Knowing that He is always near, Other mortals you have no fear. Copyright © 2011 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
