Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

As man grows

I once feared the sun rising
as I feared the dark night
the sunlight was scathing
the world was to bright
 exposing my weakness
for all man to see
stripped naked of honour
then labelled as me.

Now I welcome the sun rising
and enjoy those dark nights
when the shadows of moonlight
dance free until light
and the weakness of many
no longer claimed as my own
having witnessed the cycle
of man as he grows.
