To Shun or to Seek
We have a solid foundation,
Etched into our salvation;
Because the Lord already knows,
Who belongs to Him that He chose.
Of who to shun and who to seek,
That is humbled, gentle and meek;
Versus those whose craving prolongs,
The Lord must give up for their wrongs.
Honor those follow the Gospel,
And shun the beguiling people;
So immoral ones set apart,
Not to let them into your heart.
The Master has another use,
For their rudeness and their abuse;
Since each one is merely a fool,
They will serve well as a footstool.
Be prepared to do just good things,
Honor comes from blessings it brings;
And giving you a brand new heart,
Allowing you to a fresh start.
Do not put any of your trust,
As you stay away from the lust;
That is tempting you through a door,
Using a very seductive lure.
Rather pursue faith peace and love,
Which passes hope down from above;
Giving you the ultimate cure,
With having a heart that is pure.
