confusions

the wise old cat of Anlaby
gazes straight into my eyes
with an air of bewilderment
her constant air of surprise
that instead of feline control
in one of creation's many japes
the real master race exists
on the planet of the apes
she turns away with a sigh
is this as good as it gets
for it can be so very wearing
having a human being as a pet
