NATURES ENIGMA
The heavens were painted sunshine
Against an azure sky
Brushed with strokes of golden streaks
The early morn to beautify.
Within a moments hesitation
The sunshine vanished, disappeared!
The heavens turned to charcoal
Dim as dusk the day appeared.
Suddenly, a flash of white
Tore out from the canvas sky
Cracking whips of lightening threats
As clouds of tears began to cry.
The rain, imprisoned, overcrowded
Escaped its dark, dank holding cell
Despite the thunderous roar of lightening
Etched upon its flaxen shell.
Then as if it never happened
The clouds cast off their shadowed veil,
The forenoon streamed with golden beams
As rain dripped dry its well.
The sky, the sun, the clouds and rain,
The lightening and its thunder, too,
Gives man pause to see God's gifts
As nature passes through.
