Virtue Card
I brought a set of virtue cards,
I pick one of the virtues everyday,
I read that virtue early in the morning,
I decide to keep that virtue in my heart,
and behave in such manner the whole day.
I went to my office in the morning,
I saw one of my colleague was upset,
when I asked her she told me,about
the problem she had with her husband,
at home and he is planning to divorce her.
I listened to her and at the end I asked ,
her to pick one of my virtue card.
She picked one of the virtue cards ,
which told her that she is powerful.
Her patient tolerance of circumstances
creates ,a calm atmosphere that settles
the cacophony of attitudes.
After a few weeks I met her again
and she was looking much happier.
She came to me and said thanks for my advice ,
and the virtue card, the one she picked
was very true and all her problems were solved,
now her relationship with her husband has improved.
I felt happy by hearing this but at the same time
I felt I did not do anything,and also thought
I could have done more and also thought
I should have given her more time to discuss ,
I also felt I should have given her the whole set of cards,
so that she could practice it daily at home.

This was one of the true experience. Now they both are living happily with their two children. I still feel I could have done more to help her but the circumstances told me to give her the virtue card at that time and I felt that is the appropriate thing to do in the group. Sometime a small gesture,or a word gives us a lot of comfort and the difficult situations will be removed by itself. A kind word gives much comfort and support in other people's lives.
