Christ Is Superior
We must make every effort,
In entering a place of rest;
So heart and mind do not divert,
And am able to do my best.
Then I will not ever be lost,
Never refusing to obey;
Since I know exactly the cost,
Of what Jesus Christ had to pay.
The Word is living and active,
And sharper than a two-edge sword;
It can also hold you captive,
And accountable to the Lord.
The Word of the Lord cuts as deep,
To where the soul and spirit meet;
As well as enabling to sleep,
And provide nourishment to eat.
The Word judges thoughts and intent,
Of what hides in your heart and mind;
Finding ways for you to repent,
And with God to be realigned.
There is no one can ever hide,
Everything is shown to see;
The Word will teach you to abide,
And duteous to His decree.
Hold your faith in declaration,
The Master Priest is in Heaven;
Having the gift of salvation,
That God liberally has given.
