Such is Valentine
Somehow on this special day, the one called valentine
Seem to reach many people and this sort of makes them remind
That there is that special gif called love conferred on all humanity
And it theirs to dispense even if it impacted on them negatively
Traditionally it was the men who will certainly bestow
On their lovers many gifts their amorous intentions to show
With dulcet words expressed so figuratively painted in romance
With the intention of putting her in a verbally enchanted trance
Now today with bigger incomes, the electronic media and cultural penetration
Have certainly shifted the gear in quite a different direction
Making one wonder if they are the one loved, it's the type and value of the gift
That they will be presented on that day of Valentine with
But on that day the scenery makes to the visual senses a delightful sight
One can see some many people all bedecked in their red and white
And those flowers kept so alive and their petals so brilliantly bright
With a fragrance that to the nasals senses is one aromatic delight.
Today most events are zoned in as a financial opportunity
And so Valentine too will be pounced on quite certainly
So businesses know that those offered discounts will be gobbled up eagerly
Thus creating a situation in which both can be very happy
How I always seem to remember our days as little children
We do were given that opportunity to display that amorous intention
As we made those heart shaped cards, bordered by smaller hearts and flowers
Will add some colors and later will take them home to give out mothers
It was always good to see how her eyes lit up so happily
Then she will love over at daddy and say in a voice just teasingly
Look at how you little son, remember me at Valentine
See how a little child had preceded you this time.
