Another Valentine

Another valentine's day is here and all that I can do
Reflect about all those memorable moments spent with you
How I quiver as all those pleasantries came rushing through
Especially about many of those extra special things we pursue

So taking a moment thorough the mind those steps to retrace
How as always I got taken to one of our special places
As those activities came rushing back to my mind
How we most certainly always had a blast of a time

In this state how such a pleasant feeling envelope me
How it really felt to be in your warm company
Then too came that one of how that hand of fate sealed your destiny
Tears fell as I got to that day when you departed from me

But there when they saw me it was good to see how they remember
Those moments there with you, and you elegance and such splendor
But what was touching, was that they decided to have a moment of silence
Paid in honor of your memory one to revere and with such reverence

But how can anything ever take that place, to fill that void
Sometime efforts made do not please, but can make one annoyed
One can understand efforts made to bring some semblance of balance to the presence
To the mind of a person who seem grounded somehow in that distance

Not to devalue your memory but sometimes there was at a relation
But in all fairness sometimes it can be not good for the other person
Even thought you try, but what is seems is that I was trying to make a carbon copy
Of that person, trying to reincarnate you in them that‘s not how it should be.
