Humble Beginnings
A moment yours to dwell in thought
A parting shot in time not caught
When fall became deserved demise
Yet mercy poured from Heaven's sky
It rained on you who still ignores
A chance, a state, on heart you wore
Out again, almost breathless
Is what is left that cares no less
Reassess where you came from
A world of hurt, nearing undone
Where cry of heart He heard and wept
Tears for you, of what is left
Pride held to and nothing new
Becomes of plain you still walk through
For sacred ground you've yet to walk
A second yours with CHRIST to talk
Place yourself before the throne
Kneel before Him you disown
For humble is the heart GOD seeks
Yours who barely ticks a beat
Begin anew and gather strength
Become the portrait He will paint
A masterpiece in you begins
A treasured work He saved from sin
