'' In Our Hearts You'll Forever Remain ''
They give up their future for our tomorrow,
Despite all their worries and fears,
For us they go through such pain and sorrow,
Defending our world's frontiers.
They are selfless people, who risk their lives,
Which allows us to prosper today,
Forever their spirit and camaraderie thrives.
They wouldn't have it any other way.
In two world wars their bravery was cast,
In Korea and then Vietnam,
In Desert storm they stood steadfast,
Then came Iraq and Afghanistan.
We must never forget the sacrifice they make,
For when is all said and done
Their heroism is based on give not take,
Each battle they fight must be won.
Of the thousands who fight we must never forget,
Their sacrifice is willingly given,
They'd die for their country without any regret,
It's for our freedom these heroes have striven.
They are the reason we can all live in peace,
Past and present they live to defend,
As the terrorist threats against us increase,
We know they'll be there till the end.
Freedom and democracy have a heavy price,
Their actions can ultimately mean death,
Yet in their own minds they are clear and concise,
They will fight to the very last breath.
We must never forget what they have achieved,
In our history they're forever entwined,
To all those heroes who have been bereaved,
In our future we'll ensure you're enshrined.
To the fallen and defenders of our nation,
To you all we shout out loud,
Your actions fill us all with elation,
To those passed and living we're so proud.
To our present day heroes we owe you a debt,
You deserve our full wholesome praise,
We'll ensure this world will never forget,
It's to you all our glasses we raise.
Every year on the Eleventh of November,
The world will stop and pray,
Your heroism we will always remember,
That's why we celebrate this special day.
Though some protest against your bravery,
You're the reason they can complain,
Without you they'd be living in slavery,
That's why,
