'' Stop Now Or Your Smoking Will Kill ''

I must quit this terrible habit,
It's really a horrible addiction,
When without I feel evil and crabbit,
What a truly heinous affliction.

Poisonous additives in every one,
cause diseases of every description,
Far more lethal than a loaded gun,
With no cure from a G.P.s prescription.

Arteries hardening day by day,
My lungs filling up with tar,
Very soon I'll be carried away,
I've heard Heaven is not that far.

It will be the cough that carries you off,
Say the scientific boffins,
They're telling lies the smokers scoff,
As they file into their coffins.

My children breathing in stale air,
Stinking of my rancid smoke,
What I'm doing to them just isn't fair,
I cringe when I hear them choke.

Coughing up dark green phlegm,
Every time I take a drag,
My future life is what I condemn,
Every time I smoke a fag.

Now I've given up at last,
I won't get a dodgy ticker,
Missing my bus is in the past,
My step is now so much quicker.

I'll now follow my ambition,
To become a ballroom dancer,
My demise is now in remission,
I've reduced my risk of cancer.

Blacked out lungs and filthy stains,
Are gone forever more,
No more choking or chest pains,
My insides no longer feel sore.

My house is clear of Nicotine,
The curtains and walls are white,
It's the cleanest it has ever been,
At last I can see the light.

All that money what a waste,
Has all turned into ash,
It really leaves a bitter taste,
That I've burned all that cash.

But I've got loads of money now,
My habit‘s no longer a threat,
Smoking again I just won't allow,
Giving up I will never regret.

I'll now enjoy my  new found life,
To give up you must have the will,
No cigarettes means no more strife,
