Faith in Christ
The purpose of having trouble,
Is for putting faith to the test;
You may toil with the struggle,
So you endure to do your best.
As fire tests genuine gold,
Faith is a valued treasure;
More precious than even tenfold,
That disciplines any pleasure.
It gives honor glory and praise,
To the Father and to the Son;
For the Spirit blocks wicked ways,
As enticed by the evil one.
Although you may have never seen,
All of the wonders of this world;
What Christ did and where He has been,
Your faith is what will be unfurled.
You do not see but you believe,
In what is expressed in the Word;
And salvation that you receive,
Is in your faith from what you heard.
The salvation that is the goal,
Of your faith as the prophets said;
Is the protection for your soul,
From whence as your Savior had bled.
The kindness of God comes to you,
And the prophets that He revealed;
Even the angels look into.
The many things that still are sealed.
