Dark, dreary night.
Bare branches of trees
Cast Shadows
On cold, brown earth.
Howling wind,
Black clouds;
The sky opens wide.
Lightning,
Thunder,
Relentless rain
Pouring down
On broken dreams.

I shall paste colored leaves
On trees.
I shall paint the earth
In shades of green.
I shall force the wind
To sing.
I shall mend the sky
With golden threads
Stolen from the sun.
I shall transform the rain
Into rainbows
And heal the dreams
With love.

Annette
(The bridge photos were perfect for this poem which I wrote in 1980).
