Memories

Here I am tucked in bed,
Soft chilly breeze hover above my head;
Old memories start to tickle me at last,
like a slideshow playing . . .the pacing quite fast.

Some bring me smile, others pain
All but blessings like the splashing rain;
Some make me humble, some make me strong,
Memories are my priceless jewels all along.

As I gently close my eyes tonight,
May my prayers go to the One with the brightest light;
Memories are for us to keep,
May they inspire us ...give us warmth while we sleep.
