Parental Matters
The hand that feeds that also writes
Has taken stand to shed some light
On overdue, ones stay at home
Much has been said and too condoned
Such is the path, of natures flight
Fledgling one day, man overnight
Must seek to find a place, their own
In time, move on and find a home
It's not that love cares not for them
It is but choice to comprehend
That suckling time has come to end
Such is the time themselves attend
Hardship will wreck his mothers heart
As hand she gave had taken part
Providing room and board again
To a young man, hers to him lend
and in his wake he'd leave behind
Nothing of good he kept in mind
Ungratefulness who thought was owed
More than she gave, that just got old
