Teach the Truth
You know of how I teach,
And with my way of life;
My purpose why I preach,
How faith gets me through strife.
My patience and my love,
Along with endurance;
With the help from above,
That gives me assurance.
Persecutions I endured,
Sufferings that I face;
Temptations that have lured,
But God has shined His grace.
The Lord has rescued me,
From those who have misled;
As false preachers decree,
With all the lies they spread.
What you have learned is true,
And is needed to abide;
Knowing who has taught you,
Does keep God by your side.
From infancy you have known,
The power of wisdom;
From Jesus on His throne,
From up in His Kingdom.
Each Scripture inspired,
By God with a message;
And knowledge acquired,
Helps you with your passage.
