'' Revenge Isn't Sweet , That's A Fact ''
Someone once said revenge is sweet,
But in reality that's strictly not true,
Some people think it can't be beat,
But what will it do for you.
It can make you feel you want to kill,
Very soon you'll feel paranoid,
When you know you're acting against your will,
That's the time your life is destroyed.
The vengeance you seek becomes really tough,
Your anger takes over your head,
But the action you take is never enough,
You won't be happy until they are dead.
Your obsession to avenge what's been done,
Will just give you terrible stress,
By showing you're hurt your enemy has won,
While you have to live with the mess.
Within your mind you'll be racked with guilt,
That's the problem with revenge filled aggression,
Towards criminality your own life will tilt,
You'll be caught in a spiral of depression.
When you look in the mirror what do you see,
Are you happy or perhaps in confusion,
If the latter fits then set your mind free,
Rid yourself of all your delusion.
Revenge won't solve the way you feel,
It will make your hatred much worse,
Your wounds will fester they will never heal,
You'll become embroiled in a terrible curse.
If you feel the need to hurt someone back,
You are showing them it's you who's in pain,
Revenge is a form of weakness, a crack,
It's your dignity you must seek to retain.
Doing better than them should be your goal,
You must try to get on with your life,
Never be tempted to sell your soul,
This will only give you more strife.
If your antagonists see that you remain strong,
Then the message to them it will send,
Is you are better than them you know right from wrong,
To their level you would never descend.
Your enemies thrive knowing you're hurt,
But by showing them you no longer care,
They'll be the ones left covered in dirt,
As they slither back in to their lair.
You can then live with your head held high,
In the knowledge your pride is intact,
You'll command respect till the day you die,
