Love Need Not Be On Valentine's
The price one pays when heartache bleeds
From wounds, your thoughts that no one sees
But wrong you'd be for there is one
Who knows how much you've lost than won

Give not take has been the rule
Someone drew up to make a fool
Of sentiment now giving way
Love unkind one blew away

You wrestle with the truth and note
Love need not be on Valentines
For Love keeps names and yours it wrote

Love that came to die for thee
Love but His who came to be
Defined by acts some failed to grasp
Back then as now, future and past

He loved you then as He does now
No card to write how much and how
Love need not be on Valentine's
For love paid to say your mine

Mine this day and every day
Yours truly now and always
Love unlike you've known before
Love but His, continued pours

Not just on Valentine's!
