 The Unfairness Of Angels

The Girl in the Library

When i'm old and on my death bed
They'll be one thing going through my head
The time I messed up on the greatest opportunity
The Story of the girl in the library
I'd gone there to escape the pouring rain
Never realizing my life would never be the same
She was standing just underneath the sign
“Silence must be adhered all the time'
When I moved closer she disappeared
I thought my chance was gone, I feared!
But then I saw her amongst the section ‘History'
So I followed her and picked up a book, “The Missionary”
She smiled and went to the next section
I followed and accidentally picked up ‘The History of masturbation'
I went bright red, and fumbled the book back
And became lost,  looking at her hair so black
Like the night sky had fallen on to her head
I move closer, and pick up another book ‘improve in bed'
She turns round and catches my gaze
My heart feels like it's in a maze
Like the words in my head all in a mess
I'm going to comment on her dress
Yes, that will be a nice opening line
I'll pick up a book and go over, it'll be fine
“Hi, love the dress.” I say
She laughs, “looking for pointers, hey?
I'm stunned, that's a weird thing to say
Then I look down and see my book…
“Coming out, Proud and Gay!”
