The Final Five
Written Feb. 6th, 2012
There's a feeling of entrapment
For the final five
Suppressed by woven dreams
For them no more alive
Under vines and foliage
Upon one string held tight
Gold is their accord
Of truth and purest light
Staring through life's prison
What is it that they see?
Maybe eyes of passion?
Or maybe they see me?
A connection of emotion
A value no one knows
To fly away from fear
When all the windows close
There's a feeling of entrapment
For the final five
They dream of only freedom
But think they can't survive
Unlike others flying,
They remain quite still
But escape with hope and cling to thoughts
Of dreams by their free will
