The Mood Of A Flower"Just living is not enough, one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower." Hans Christian Andersen-Danish author*** Today my mood is like a delicate withering flower My soft petals are dropping to the ground I feel so fragile My sweet fragrance scents the air I'm a rich perfume My fragrance draws bees, butterflies, and others to me A scent of me is addicting Today I do not welcome anyone Naturally my colors are vibrant and lively I have so many colors and I come in a variety of styles and looks I am extremely popular Today I feel spiritless I shy away from the sun Usually I like the sunshine and enjoy the spotlight Today my mood is of despair I don't want to be seen, wishing I could hide away Being a flower I always evoke smiles and bring happiness to others I'm needed so much You'll find me in hospital rooms I'm displayed at funerals People take me to grave sites Lovers seek me out On Valentine's Day, I am especially sought after Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays so many occasions Too numerous to mention Today I'm not in a very good mood Tomorrow I'll wake up smiling I will welcome all and bring joy and happiness I am a beautiful flower İFebruary 8, 2012 Janet Irene Griffin Vote for this poem
